The SVI stands for holistic packaging thinking
We are the packaging-neutral association of the Swiss packaging industry. We represent and promote the interests of all companies involved in the life cycle of packaging – from production to filling processes to recycling. In this way, we support the further development of the entire packaging industry from a functional, ecological and economic point of view and demonstrate the industry’s capacity for innovation.
The SVI focuses on its members
We offer comprehensive information and advice in all industry-specific matters – competent and up-to-date. In addition, we create network platforms and promote encounters and cooperation between our members. This makes us a strong partner and service provider for the packaging industry.
The SVI trains packaging specialists
We are the leading partner for extra-occupational education and training in the packaging industry. Our training program is level-based, practice-oriented and comprehensive. Our graduates hold important key positions and are therefore a success factor for the competitiveness of the Swiss packaging industry.
Since 1963, we have been active as a packaging-neutral umbrella organization for the Swiss packaging industry (annual turnover over CHF 6.5 billion; 400 companies; 25,000 employees). The SVI represents the entire “life cycle” of packaging and acts as a partner between authorities, the media, consumers and the packaging industry.
